About this Project

This game is my entry for the Path of Exile Talent Contest running in January - February 2018. 

Why this game?

I originally planned to just draw a pretty picture for the contest, however I thought that might be too boring as a lot of people enter fan art to these types of contest. I then had this cool idea of creating a mix and match monster book like the flip books I enjoyed as a child. My husband then told me that it would be cooler to make a drag and drop style monster creator, I agreed, and thus this game idea was born. 

How Did I Make it?

I started with basically zero knowledge of coding before embarking on this project and perhaps bit off a little bit more than I could chew.   I used Unity to build the majority of the game, using assets drawn by myself using Photoshop.  The project took many hours and late nights, but I am somewhat proud of what I achieved with the little knowledge I have. 

What is this game about?

The basic premise of the game is that you are working for Piety and are tasked with creating a creepy monster. You can choose parts, inspired by the game Path of Exile, using the part picker on the right and then rotate, flip and change the order of the parts using the transformation menu on the left.  You can drag and drop parts by holding the mouse button and dragging the part. When you are done creating your monster, you can hit the deselect button and admire your miscreation in all its weird glory.
